Care Assistants

Hanover Care supply Healthcare Assistants (or Nursing Auxiliaries) to Hospitals, Nursing and Residential Homes, as well as to people in their own homes. (Please see our separate homecare section – click here). Each Care assistant will have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in the industry. Many will have particular experience in areas such as Dementia, Palliative care, and Mental Health. A high proportion have undertaken their NVQ2 and NVQ3 training, with some having completed their NVQ4.

Registration Process

Each Care Assistant goes through our thorough recruitment process which includes a full face-to-face interview with a Care Consultant who discusses their work history and experience, the environments they have worked in, and assesses their suitability and checks relevant paperwork. All our care assistants have a minimum of 2 references including their current or most recent employment, and these references cover a minimum of 2 – 5 years. Their eligibility to work is checked and an Enhanced CRB Disclosure is obtained, including checks against the suitability to work with both adults and children.

Thanks to our thorough recruitment process, and our ongoing communication with our staff, we are able to identify the work that they are seeking and the settings that they would be best for. Combine this with our pride in getting to know our client’s needs and ongoing monitoring, and this explains why we are able to best match our staff to our bookings.
