Manual Handling This is a mandatory course which shows you the proper way of moving and handling people, in order to keep yourself and your clients safe. The course is run at a local Nursing Home by one of our own trainers; there is a day-long version and a half-day refresher. Next date:Please contact the office. Observations Run by our own Nurse consultant, this half-day course is vital if you want work in hospitals. Next date:Please contact the office. Basic Medication Our trainer runs through the principles of medication, a reminder of good practice, and proper recording procedures. Next date:Please contact the office. Induction This course covers the main principles of working in care, including basics of Food Hygiene, First Aid, Personal Care and Infection Control. It also includes a large section on the Protection of Vulnerable Adults. Next date:Please contact the office. First Aid A very popular course led by our Nurse Consultant. Next date:Please contact the office. As well as the above regular courses, we also run short courses on particular topics. Please let us know any particular areas that you would like additional training on. Many of our staff are undergoing NVQ2 and NVQ3 training.
